LAND SURVEY

For years, a broken glass frame obscured a hand-painted watercolor land survey. Work on a family tree helped identify the exquisitely penned 1847 signature of a great-great uncle.

EMBROIDERY

In 1802, a young girl completed her skills assignment to embroider her ABC’s. She went so far as to further embroider that she had “finished her work.”  True to a point!
