Long ago, I sat with my elderly aunt while her world came undone. She was being moved into a smaller space and her helpers saw no need to keep most of her life’s possessions. I’ll never forget her anguish at the potential loss of the silver loving cup which commemorated her spelling bee award as a young girl in rural Georgia.

Unopened boxes, neglected papers, and long-stored collections call my name. Focusing on the confluence of personal possessions and memories, I work with my clients to organize, research, and curate their special belongings. Together we find meaning and uncover histories.
After a long career focused on relief, development, and human rights work with international and domestic organizations and serving on the boards of educational and life care institutions, I turned my attention to inherited family archives. Having always been fascinated by the past and what it reveals, I trained with NAPO to become a professional organizer, founding Papers and Possessions.
Though I’m located in New York City, I work with clients nationally and am able to render services remotely.
It would be my pleasure to work with you and to help you create vital space for your future through honorable decisions regarding the past.
